Hi Everyone,
2014 was an exciting year for my score music composing! Between composing the original soundtrack inspired by the graphic novel DENVER (created by comic book writers Jimmy Palmiotti, Justin Gray and illustrator Pier Brito), I also continued working on composing two new film music libraries. Then, in the Fall, I composed music for 2 promo trailer spots that showcase the upcoming 2015 film THE MARSCHER LORDS.  Indeed an exciting year, with more project announcements coming in in the New Year!  I can't wait to share.

In the meantime, check out a few selections from my 2014 composing work:

Yo,
Yesterday, Sunday November 18th, I attended the CTN Animation Expo in Burbank for the first time. I was impressed with the show, and saw many old friends and made new ones there. If you've never been to CTNX, check it out here: http://www.ctnanimationexpo.com/
I'll be going back next year for sure.

Hans

 Hi,
I got to attend the 'Wreck-It-Ralph' crew signing at Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra on Friday,
November 9th.  A really great experience! In particular, I think Art Director Mike Gabriel did such an amazing job in overseeing and designing the look of the world of this incredible cartoon. Go see 'Wreck-It-Ralph' when you can. Event info here: http://www.gallerynucleus.com/event/364#.UKrouIbheWs

Support Disney and their wonderful company/creators by seeing 'Wreck-It-Ralph.' Showtimes here: http://www.moviefone.com

Here's the nice looking poster from the film, which I picked up at the show. I love it:
After the W.I.T. signing, there was a very cool art show opening called 'Legendary Beauties,' showcasing the work of artists Brittney Lee and Lorelay Bove. I enjoyed many of the pieces in this show. This show is still ongoing, but only for another 13 days. Check it out here: http://www.gallerynucleus.com/gallery/exhibition/349#.UKrv-YbheWs

Best,
Hans

Hello,
It's been LONG. Much too long since I updated my News Blogspot. I am going to make a concerted effort to be here more frequently. Hope all of you are great!

Mindstyle does Dink Vinyl toys by MISS MINDY!

"DINK" Vinyl toy from MINDSTYLE TOYS-accompanied by Hans Karl's music from the CD album SHAGXOTICA!

When I attended San Diego Comic-Con 2008 a few weeks ago, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Miss Mindy (Allen) and her sister C.J. Metzger. They are both incredible artists and illustrators. CJ (or Candace) is a painter, illustrator and graphic designer whose creations blend surreal and whimsical imagery. Along with her sister Miss Mindy, they designs toys for MINDSTYLE, and also publish their own books for BabyTattoo books. Miss Mindy's designs for her "DINK" toy that showed at San Diego are quite the little "stylish" wonders as well!

Furthermore, Miss Mindy made a Comic-Con 2008 video for the "DINK" toy. The video is accompanied by the track I composed for my SHAGXOTICA! CD called "The Uninvited Guests." This is a fun little visual extravaganza into the heart of Comic-Con. "DINK" is pretty cute..hehe...Check it out up top!
